Young officers' ball will take place in Murmansk; it has become traditional for Northern Fleet (NF), infantry brigade, space defense brigade, and Murmansk branch of FSB Frontier Service. Totally, 69 officers with their spouses are invited to the ball. The couples will be greeted by NF Deputy Commander for educational work Rear Admiral Anatoly Minakov.

The Northern Fleet's tradition to arrange the officers' ball goes back to 2000. Such activity gives lieutenants a good chance to chat with their bosses and colleagues from other branches, and get off daily worries for a while.

All commanders are interested in young officers' morale and motivation for professional growth. Close attention is given to achievement of officership.
