JSC Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center plans to reduce production output in 2010 down to RUR 12 bln, which is 13.1 per cent less than in 2009, reported the yard's press service.

Within the framework of state defense order 2010 Zvezdochka carried out interim overhaul and modernization of Project 667BDRM nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine Novomoskovsk and Project 877EKM diesel electric submarine B-800 Kaluga. In summer 2010 the yard completed trials and delivered salvage tug Zvezdochka to the Navy. Project 667BDRM nuclear sub Verkhoturye arrived to the shipyard in Aug for recovery of technical readiness. In June 2010 Zvezdochka signed a contract for interim overhaul and upgrade of Indian Navy's Project 877EKM diesel electric sub INS Sindhurakshak. Among civilian orders, the most important was jack-up drilling rig Arkticheskaya for JSC Gazflot. It is planned to deliver the rig to the orderer in 2011.

Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center was established on Nov 12, 2008 by reorganization of the same-named federal state unitary enterprise. In the course of transformation, the ship repair center comprised scientific-production association Vint (Moscow), pilot-production plant Vega (Borovsk), 35th Ship Repair Plant (Murmansk), 1st Defense Shipyard (Sochi), 5th Ship Repair Plant (Temruk), Astrakhan Ship Repair Plant, Nerpa Ship Repair Plant (Snezhnogorsk).

Zvezdochka is specialized in repair and modernization of naval vessels for Russian and foreign navies, utilization of nuclear submarines, and civilian shipbuilding.
