Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky arrived to St. Petersburg on Tuesday to take part in annual forum of fleet commanders, reported RIA Novosti referring to a spokesman for the Navy.

The forum will be held in Navy Scientific Center in accordance with defense ministry's plan.

"Issues of Navy's development till 2020 and urgent matters of combat training improvement will be discussed at the forum which will last till March 5", said the official.

According to the Navy's representative, the fleet commanders' forum will help "to elaborate uniform understanding of main development trends in the Navy for middle- and long-range prospects", and "contribute to qualification improvement of Navy's leadership".
