The inquiry into the information about mining of Northern Fleet surface ship squadron is held in Severomorsk, Murmansk region.

"At 6 pm undisclosed person phoned to Severomorsk alert police unit and informed about mined warships. Special Police Force and dog specialists had been searching for an explosive device till 1 am. They failed to detect it", reported REGNUM on March 2 citing Larisa Baranova, assistant of public relations service director, Murmansk Police Dept.

According to Mrs. Baranova, phone number used for the call has been identified. This number is registered at one of the city's institutions. Eyewitnesses who allegedly saw the caller have been already found. Investigators are working with them, although the "phone terrorist" has not been detained so far.
