Russian president Dmitry Medvedev demands to set transparent prices for military-oriented products and to toughen responsibility for defense order execution.

"Prices for military products must be clear and transparent; liability for defense order commitments should be toughened", said Medvedev at extended session of defense ministry's board held on Friday.

According to Medvedev, while placing of arms orders one should balance interests of a customer and an executor. State order must provide arms-producing companies with profitable opportunity to develop and introduce new technologies, said the president.

Medvedev reminded the new state arms program covers the period until 2020 and implies almost RUR 20 trillions appropriations. In accordance to the program, portion of up-to-date arms in Russian Armed Forces is supposed to increase up to 70%.
