Ships of Black Sea Fleet (BSF) Area Defense Brigade headed by Capt 1 rank Valery Zubkov continue to maintain favorable tactical situation off Caucasus.

Crew of sea-going minesweeper Turbinist recently returned to native Sevastopol from operational zone of Novorossiysk Naval Base. To Capt 3 rank Dmitry Ogurtsov, that was the first cruise to Caucasian shore as a ship's commanding officer. The crew has excellently completed the mission. Engineering group led by Capt Lt Boris Ampilogov has done a good job as well.

However, the ship returning from mission was not met with traditional piglet roast and cakes as it used to be.

"This can be simply explained", says Capt 2 rank Sergei Rakauskas, deputy brigade commander for personnel affairs. "Such cruises have become ordinary routine".

Sea-going minesweeper Ivan Golubets commanded by Capt 3 rank Alexei Petrachkov and small ASW ship Muromets headed by Capt Lt Sergei Tkach sailed off Sevastopol to shift Turbinist. The task group is led by Capt 3 rank Vadim Dzhanunts. He was decorated with the Order of Courage for his merits during peace-enforcement operation in Georgia in Aug 2008. He was commanding officer of small ASW ship Suzdalets at the time. Being a division executive officer, Vadim sailed to Caucasus coast several times then.

Ivan Golubets and Muromets have successfully arrived in Novorossiysk and started patrols.
