A memorable activity associated with 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War took place on June 22 in Kaliningrad at 1200 Guardsmen Memorial, Baltic Fleet Information Support Group.

Early morning representatives of Baltic Fleet command, Kaliningrad regional government, and WW2 veterans light candles at the memorial and kept one minute's silence in remembrance of the Motherland's defenders killed in action. Citizens of Kaliningrad light Candles of Memory in their homes.

Memorial activities of the Remembrance Day continued at 9 am at the monument to Marshal A.M. Vasilevsky with a wreath-laying ceremony.
