Russian military expects for joint naval exercise with People's Liberation Army of China, said Chief of Russian General Staff Gen. Nikolai Makarov.

Negotiations between the head of Russian General Staff and his Chinese counterpart were held in Moscow on Aug 4.

"I think, natural consequence of our meeting would be memorandum of intentions to conduct joint naval exercise", Makarov said. According to him, meetings of Russian and Chinese military have become regular, and now international and regional problems can be discussed at the summit level.

"We treat China as a superpower and consider no political issues all across the world can be resolved without China", emphasized the head of Russian General Staff.
