The crew will carry out a number of drills jointly with pilots of NF Fighter Regiment who will practice deck takeoffs and landings on Su-25UTG and Su-33 fighters.
Last time the carrier took the sea to assist deck-based aviation exercise in Oct 2010. Since that time new draftees came to serve on the ship, so one of the main tasks of the current cruise is training of young sailors.
