Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin considers growth of defense spendings reasonable, since it would allegedly contribute to improvement of national technological stance and economy development.

"I'm sure that relying on our technological background, capabilities, personnel reserve, and conducting weighted macroeconomic policy, we will provide required economy growth rates and national security", said the head of Russian Government addressing the Russia Calling investment forum.

"Certainly, that would contribute not only to rearmament of national armed forces but to general improvement of real sector's technological level. And considerable part of that equipment will be oriented at civil production", added the premier.
