Russian defense ministry is ready to tie 200 contracts under State Defense Order 2012, said deputy defense minister Alexander Sukhorukov at the press conference on Oct 11.

"Defense ministry has invited 600 companies to attend tenders under State Defense Order 2012. Out of them, 460 have already replied and offered prices for their products. The ministry is satisfied with 200 of those offers", Sukhorukov said.

He stressed that contraction had been in progress since May 2011.

Earlier on, Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdiukov said in interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda that placement of State Defense Order 2012 had been almost completed. As for him, somewhat RUR 20 bln remained to be placed out of RUR 580 bln.
