Russian Navy's delegation headed by Deputy Chief of Navy Main HQ Rear Admiral Leonid Sukhanov visited Oslo, Norway and attended consultations on the bilateral Incidents-at-Sea Agreement.

The Agreement on Prevention of Incidents On and Over the High Seas was signed between the Soviet Union and Norway in 1990.
The parties summarized bilateral efforts on execution of the Agreement and declared their willingness to improve security of navigation in high seas and flights over them.
According to delegates, participation of Russian and Norwegian navies in realization of the Incidents-at-Sea Agreement considerably strengthens and develops mutual confidence between military agencies of the two states in the interests of safety at sea.
