Russian Arms Export Grows $1 Bln in 2011

Russian arms exported via Rosoboronexport in 2011 will be $1 bln larger than in 2010 making $9.7 bln, said deputy director general of Rosoboronexport Viktor Komardin heading Russian delegation at the LIMA-2011 arms show on Dec 6.

"It [export] will be one billion larger than in the last year", Komardin said.

He added that in 2010 Rosoboronexport had signed contracts to the amount of over $9.5 bln.

"We have signed more in this year", Komardin said.

He reminded that the backlog of Rosoboronexport was about $36 bln for the moment.

According to Komardin, Rosoboronexport signs about 1,500 contractual documents every year.
