Late 2011, Caspian Flotilla (CF) received final parcel of vehicles constituting Bal-E mobile coastal missile system.

Bal-E missile system includes self-propelled command and communication post, self-propelled launchers, and transporter reloaders. Delivery set comprises about 10 items of technical systems.

Servicemen of CF missile battalion passed special training course at the missile system's manufacturing plant in Kaluga. At present, they entered upon combat training activities.

Bal-E missile system is capable to defeat targets at the range of up to 120 km day and night and under bad weather conditions.

In 2012 CF missilemen will conduct firing drills at sea surface target simulators.

In Sept 2012 personnel of the battalion will demonstrate professional skills and the missile system's capabilities at the Kavkaz 2012 strategic exercise.
