Northern Fleet (NF) Coast Defense Troops are holding field drills of antiaircraft units. The purpose of the training activities is to improve combat skills and teamwork of crews of self-propelled antiaircraft systems and radar monitoring/air reconnaissance vehicles.

Servicemen have successfully performed firing drills at air targets, and practiced time norms for targeting, acquisition and tracking.

Off-duty crews of MANPADS Igla also passed training at the field drills; they will participate in the anti-piracy deployment of large ASW ship Vice Admiral Kulakov to the Gulf of Aden.

The field training will finish with battery tactical exercise with live firing drill. That activity will close antiaircraft program of winter training period.
