Sharpshooters from Black Sea Fleet (BSF) ships and coastal units based in Sevastopol took part in the handgun firing championship.

Servicemen competed in the 25-meter Makarov pistol shooting. Results were assessed by panel of judges on the basis of 10 shots. Teams consisted of four men, but only scores of the two best shooters were counted.

The team of BSF Communication Center won the tournament. Second and third positions were taken by representatives of coast defense troops (BSF Marine Brigade and BSF Air Defense Regiment respectively).

The championship was a preparation of BSF sharpshooters for coming Southern Military District Olympics.
