Both shipyards – in the Far East and in Kronshtadt – will meet demands of Russian shipbuilding industry in full, said the head of United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) Roman Trotsenko during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

USC to Construct World-Standard Shipyard for RUR 60 Bln

The shipyard USC plans to build on the Kotlin Island will be larger than the yard already built by the corporation in the Far East, reports BaltInfo referring to Roman Trotsenko.
He said that both shipyards will meet all demands of Russian shipbuilding industry. Their total productivity will be 15 times as large as all current Russian yards put together.
According to BaltInfo, director of a company managing construction of the Novo-Admiralteyskaya Verf shipyard Alexander Voznesensky said that about RUS 60 bln would be invested in the yard. Currently, the shipyard is being projected. As for Trotsenko, that process will take about 1.5 years.
Next year, USC will start waterworks at the future shipyard's platform and soil depositing.
In 2015, it is planned to begin construction and erection works on slipways for large-size vessels, two years later – for civilian products, and in 2018 – ships under State defense Order.
