Russia will establish a number of basing sites in Arctic along the Northern Sea Route for ships of Russian Navy and Coast Guard, reports Rosbalt referring to Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of Russian Security Council.

He pointed out that the list of dual-purpose key objects in distant Arctic regions had been already set. Those objects must be developed in the interests of temporal basing of Russian Navy's warships and FSB Coast Guard patrol vessels.

Moreover, according to Patrushev, Russian government was suggested to change tax and tariff regulations to stimulate entrepreneurial activities in Arctic zones.

Patrushev pointed out that some Russian laws had been already altered as to government control of merchant shipping along the Northern Sea Route.
