As of international activities of Russian Pacific Fleet (PF), second half of the coming September is to be the most eventful period through the recent years.

Since Sept 16, PF main naval base Vladivostok will be visited by three task units from South Korea, the US, and Japan. In addition, over 60 defense attachés from 40 countries will pay visits to Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Sept 17-21. Two South Korean warships will be moored at the reconstructed 33-rd quay of Vladivostok in Sept 16-18.

Few days later, Vladivostok will welcome American guided missile frigate USS Vandegrift. That ship had called at Vladivostok in 2010.

In a week, PF mariners will meet their colleagues from Japan. Two Japanese ships will moor downtown Vladivostok. When the visit is over, it is planned to hold joint PACEX-type communication and maneuvering drill.

Recall that PF task force led by destroyer Admiral Panteleyev will return to the homebase early in Sept. The task force took part in the RIMPAC-2012 large-scale joint naval exercise nearby Hawaii in July-Aug.
