Third Grachonok-Class Antiterror Boat Heads for Home Station

The boat was laid down at JSC Zelenodolsk Shipyard on May 6, 2011 and launched on June 16, 2012. When all trials are over, the boat will join Black Sea Fleet becoming the third craft of this type in Russian Navy.
It is not the first new naval asset transferred to homebase via inland waterways. In this year, research ship Seliger, corvettes Dagestan and Volgodonsk, and seagoing tug MB-12 successfully reached their stations in the same way.
Recall that Grachonok-class boats are designed to counter terrorist and sabotage forces in basing sites of Russian Navy. Thanks to perfect performance characteristics, good seaworthiness, up-to-date radioelectronics, powerplant and new diving system, boats of this project are capable to cope with wide range of tasks.
