Another incident happened in the Vilyuchinsk submarine base. The base deputy commander Capt 2 Rank Pavel Babyak intentionally ran over a man by car.

The sufferer died on the way to hospital. The runover was not accidental; by this way the officer sorted out relationship with his friend. Police call center of Vilyuchinsk (Kamchatka) confirmed the incident when being requested by Central Navy Portal.

According to eyewitnesses, the tragedy happened last weekend, not on a busy highway but on the beach where Pavel Babyak and his future victim were picnicking. That was where the quarrel originated. As for eyewitnesses, Babyak finally got into his car, knocked down the man and ran over him several times. Only screams and interference of the people taking rest around stopped the officer.

At present, the suspected person is under arrest. He has been serving in Vilyuchinsk since 1989, and formerly used to be an executive officer in one of nuclear strategic submarines.
