Project 11356 frigate INS Tarkash built by JSC Yantar Shipyard for Indian Navy has successfully finished acceptance trials and is preparing for the final checkup trial round to be held on Oct 31, a source in the shipyard told Central Navy Portal.

Currently, shipwrights are eliminating defects revealed by the state acceptance board during sea trials.

As of today, all problems found in onboard systems have been almost fixed. The shipyard completes interior furnishing of the frigate and cleanup the hulls.

The ship's checkup trial round is scheduled on Oct 31. Solemn handover ceremony of the second Project 11356 frigate to Indian Navy will be held at the shipyard on Nov 9, as reported Central Navy Portal.

Yantar Shipyard has already started dockside trials of the third frigate for Indian Navy, INS Trikand which is to be handed over in 2013.

On Apr 27, 2012 India's naval ensign was hoisted on the lead ship of that "trio", INS Teg (F45).
