Caspian Flotilla started recruitment of crews for newest corvettes Grad Sviyazhsk and Uglich; construction of the ships is being completed at JSC Zelenodolsk Shipyard (Tatarstan, Russia).

Only contract servicemen are selected for the crews. Officers and enlisted personnel must have at least 2 Class qualification level.

After crewing, servicemen will go to Zelenodolsk to attend launching ceremony of the ships along with shipbuilders, and then start mastering newest arms and shipboard equipment during trials in the Caspian Sea.

Project 21631 corvettes built by JSC Zelenodolsk Shipyard for Caspian Flotilla are the 'river-sea' class multi-functional ships. They are armed with newest versatile long-range missile systems Caliber-NK and up-to-date gun, antiaircraft, counter-terror and electronic weapons.

The ships are designed under stealth technology (inclined flat surfaces of tophamper, bulwarks, doors and hatches hidden in deck erection, etc).
