JSC Almaz Marine Yard on Nov 23 launched the sixteenth Sobol-class patrol boat (Project 12200), an insider told Central Navy Portal.

The Sobol-class fast-speed patrol boat (serial number 215) is designed for Murmansk branch of FSB Coast Guard. It will be the first Project 12200 patrol craft built for northern frontiersmen.

It is planned to finish dockside and sea trials by the year end, and then the boat will be placed in the shipyard's warm boathouse to spend winter. Acceptance trials will be held in the spring. According to contract, the boat must be delivered to Murmansk in June 2013.
