Command provides details on Black Sea Fleet’s new organizational structure
02/04/2009The Black Sea Fleet conducted social educational classes for officers and warrant officers under the supervision of the commander of the Fleet, Vice Admiral Alexander Kletskov.
Vice Admiral Kletskov told the officers that, in the vein of the modernization of the Russian Armed Forces and according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the restructuring of the Russian Armed Forces should be completed by 2016. This involves the creation of a new system of deployment, a new organizational structure, as well as a number of other issues clearly outlined in the Strategy of Development of the Russian Armed Forces until 2020.
Vice Admiral Kletskov did not hide the fact that the restructuring of the armed forces is bound to be a challenge. “It will be hard,” Kletskov said. “It will not be easy. But the planned actions should be taken, and without ignoring the interests of officers and warrant officers,” he added. He said that all commanders at all levels should personally see to it. Kletskov noted the importance of timely carrying out all instructions and orders and stressed the importance of timely informing the troops about their essence.
In one of the classes at the Officers’ Club, Rear Admiral A. Pushkarev, Captain 1st Class A. Miasoedov, colonels S. Tavadyan, S. Kovalev, and I. Zrovka spoke to the attendees, informing them in detail about aspects of the restructuring underway at the Fleet.
The classes were concluded with Vice Admiral Kletskov setting before the officers concrete tasks for the short- and midterm. Analytic classes for warrant officers and sailors were conducted at the Sailors’ Club of the Fleet.
