Russian Baltic Fleet is going to take part in the International Maritime Defence Show IMDS 2009
05/17/2009Russian Baltic Fleet is going to take part in the International Maritime Defence Show IMDS 2009 which will be presented in June of this year in St.-Petersburg, Russia.
It is planned, that experts and visitors of IMDS-2009 can see the advanced fighting ships - a patrol ship Yaroslav Mudry which building is finished recently at Baltic ship-building factory Yantar in Kaliningrad and littoral combat ship Stereguschiy, constructed on Northern shipyard. These ships had become head in a new type and series of the combat shipbuilding in Russia.
Demonstration of a rocket boat Morshansk, intended for destruction of the fighting ships, transports and landing boats of the enemy in a coastal zone and in deep sea, and also the hovercraft of type Bison is planned as well.
