Russia-France to complete negotiations of the heli-carrier purchase in Sept

Russia is to finish technical consultations on purchase of French Mistral-type helicopter carrier by the end of September, as informed the source close to the talks today.

General of the Army Nikolai Makarov, Russian Chief-of-Staff and Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky, Russian Navy Commander have previously declared the intentions to buy the ship.

The technical consultations are currently in progress and have to be completed by the end of Sept. Then it will be reported to the military industrial committee and on the basis of that report the decision of procurement practicability of the ship to be made.

The group of Navy Staff officers has already visited French naval base Toulon where they inspected Mistral, said the source.
