New project 1176 assault boat passed trials
11/06/2009On Oct 23, State Ship Acceptance Board signed governmental acceptance certificate of project 1176 assault boat designed by OJSC Vympel Design Bureau.
Boat's serial construction order was given to OJSC Sokolskoe Shipyard.
Basic characteristics of the boat:
Length overall with ramp lifted: 24 meters
Beam overall: 5.2 meters
Midships depth: 2.4 meters
Midships average draft: 1.5 meters
Load capacity: up to 50 tonnes
Speed: 9.3 knots
Propulsive output: 2x110 kW
On Oct 27 the boat sailed off to permanent basing site.
