All professional life of Andrei Diachkov is connected with Sevmashpredpriyatie Shipyard (Severodvinsk), Sergei Farafonov, USC vice president said in interview to ITAR-TASS. At Sevmash Mr. Diachkov has passed every career stair, from fitter trainee to deputy director general. The previous leader of Rubin Vladimir Zdornov who had been heading the design bureau since 2007 will continue working at Rubin.

The most significant projects of nuclear-powered and diesel-electric submarines developed in the past decades are associated with the name of Igor Spassky, a member of Russian Academy of Sciences and longstanding director of Rubin. Currently, he is a general designer of one of Rubin's departments.
