Russia's Black Sea Fleet contradicted information spread by foreign media about a BSF ship suffering distress at the Black Sea.

"All technical blocks of BSF vessels currently sailing at the Black Sea work normally, there are no failures in their operation", informs RIA Novosti citing a source in Black Sea Fleet HQ. That was the reaction on release issued by Ukrainian news agency UNIAN that BSF's workshop vessel PM-138 allegedly suffered distress 100 km off Sevastopol.

According to UNIAN, Sat morning the BSF supply vessel drew water in fuel tanks and halted in the deep sea. PM-138 was returning from Russian naval base Tartus (Syria) to its permanent basing site (Sevastopol).
