Russian Maritime Industry International Forum to be held in Moscow

The forum is sponsored by Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and other ministries, agencies, and industry associations. Debates will be focused on the issues of shipbuilding development, including application of new technologies in maritime engineering and modernization of ports. Among matters to be discussed are governmental support of shipbuilding and innovative projects. The organizers intend to shape open dialog between representatives of industry, power and business. The Council of Shipbuilders is going to be arranged under the forum program; result would be a letter to Russian Prime Minister with proposals to establish new economical and legal regulations to promote Russian shipbuilding industry.
The forum will cover Russian shipbuilding and shipping industry in whole. Over 200 participants from 20 countries will display their exhibits at 14,000 sq meters. They will have a quite heavy program full of conferences, discussions, seminars, and round tables. Topical days will be arranged within the framework of the forum, such as "Russian Ports' Day", "Shipbuilders' Day", "Sea and River Transport's Day", "Russian Business Day".
The forum will be divided on following sections:
shipbuilding and ship repair;
shipborne power plants and power equipment;
shipborne control/navigation/communication systems;
shipborne equipment and facilities;
oil and gas production equipment, ocean mineral resources and continental shelf exploration facilities;
sea and river ports;
waterways and waterworks engineering.
Russian Maritime Industry International Forum inherits traditions of Moscow Maritime Exhibition firstly held in Moscow in July 12-Sept 16, 1908. Over 60,000 people visited that 67-day show.
