On Monday group of Russian experts arrived to Seoul to investigate circumstances of S Korean corvette Cheonan wrecked in the Yellow Sea, reports RIA Novosti. Russian experts came to Seoul on South Korea's invitation. The Russian president Dmitry Medvedev had previously approved to detach the expert commission.

In Seoul Russian investigators will familiarize with inquiry outputs of Cheonan shipwreck and make their decision on the matter. International board comprising representatives of the US, Australia, the UK, and Sweden had previously found out that the corvette was torpedoed by N Korean submarine. As for official Seoul, there were fragments of N Korean-made torpedo found at the incident site.

North Korea denies all accusations. The incident caused straining tension between Seoul and Pyongyang; the countries have broken a number of peaceable agreements. N Korean authorities threatened to fire at all S Korean ships detected within territorial waters. Border between the two countries is closed.

Seoul in its turn started broadcasting propaganda radio programs and used loud speakers next to the border. In Addition, South Korea held antisubmarine exercises nearby the incident site. On May 31 Seoul conducted large-scale land maneuvers which scenario implied an aggression against N Korea, reports AFP.

The US president Barak Obama previously declared intentions to support S Korea in potential conflict. The countries arranged to conduct joint exercise for demonstration of military power.

Corvette Cheonan sank in the Yellow Sea on March 26, 2010. Out of over 100 men on board, 46 failed to survive.
