Pacific Fleet HQ and warships moored at 33rd quay of Vladivostok will stay in the city till at least 2012, reports ZRPRESS.ru referring to a source in Pacific Fleet HQ.

Ships of new projects will also be moored at 33rd quay. Current PF Commander Konstantin Sidenko temporarily appointed to head Operational Strategic Command East will hold an office in Khabarovsk. Most probably, somebody of other fleet commanders will become a new PF Commander, added the source.

According to the source, Fokino will remain the main base of Primorskaya flotilla, hospital ship Irtysh will remain in Vladivostok, and PF marine brigade will be based near Snegovaya Pad as before.

Some media sources previously reported that Far East Military District, a part of Siberian Military District, and Pacific Fleet would be joined together in the context of newly established Operational Strategic Commands North, South, West, and East; and that Fokino would become a PF main base.
