Second Gepard-3.9-class frigate delivered to Vietnam 05.08.2011

Second ship of Project Gepard-3.9 built by Zelenodolsk Shipyard (developed by JSC Zelenodolsk Design Bureau) was delivered to Cam Ranh naval base (Vietnam) on July 25.

When all sea and acceptance trials were finished and all weapons and life support systems were tested, on May 25 the ship was embarked on a special transport vessel Eide Transporter and left for Vietnam on May 26.

Meeting desires of the orderer after receiving of the first frigate, interior design of the second one was improved. As for experts, the second ship is more serviceable and operable; all systems, mechanisms and arms meet contract specifications and technical design. The frigate was recognized a reference ship of 2011.
