Capt 1 rank Boris Kirik, Chief of 208-th Military Representative Office supervising quality at JSC Admiralteyskie Verfi shipyard, was prematurely transferred to reserve by the defense minister's order issued on March 6, 2012.

Recall that background of the conflict between Capt 1 rank Boris Kirik and the Navy command was his denial to subscribe a document replacing deep-sea diving system developed by Lazurit Design Bureau for Project 21300 salvage ship Igor Belousov with imported system (delivered by JSC Tetis Pro) because of flat violation of guideline requirements. In the article named "No Rescue", Central Navy Portal looked into the matter of replacing Russian-designed diving system with foreign allegedly serially-produced sample.

Boris Kirik is opposed to his dismissal and plans to put the law on defense ministry. "Lawyers say I have a good prospect to resume military career. Of course, if only the court is impartial", he said in the interview to Central Navy Portal. Presently, Boris Kirik is on leave.
