Flying hours of Ukrainian naval pilots have been increased thrice comparing to analogous period of 2010, so professional training of naval pilots becomes more intensive.

According to deputy head of naval aviation department Andrei Orlov, subsequent test flights were conducted in the night of Jan 26. Air crews of An-26, Be-12 aircrafts, and helicopter Ka-27 have performed training tasks.

Helicopter pilots practiced deck landing; aircraft pilots carried out flights in extreme weather conditions. According to Ukrainian Navy Press Service, in 2011 personnel of Saki Naval Aviation Brigade have completed five series of training flights and three times assisted ship drills at sea; naval pilots practiced antisubmarine defense, aerial reconnaissance, and search-and-rescue activities, reports Ukrainian Navy Press Service.
