Ukrainian foreign ministry recommends nationals to use the opportunity of leaving operation area in Libya and return home by Ukrainian warship Konstantin Olshansky which sailed off Sevastopol on March 23, said Alexander Dikusarov, spokesman for Ukrainian foreign ministry on Thursday.

The ship is going to arrive in four days, i.e. in March 27-28, said Dikusarov. Konstantin Olshansky plans to call at Tripoli port and possibly at other Libyan ports along the coast.

Ukrainians in Libya should coordinate their activities with Ukrainian embassy in Tripoli with the view to determine approximate amount and location of people, emphasized the press secretary. The foreign ministry asks those Ukrainians who reside deep in the country to find possibility and arrive to the coast. The ministry also address to relatives of those Ukrainians who are presently in Libya with request to contact them and convince to evacuate.

According to an appeal to Ukrainian citizens in Libya published by MFA's Information Policy Dept, "as of today, situation in Libya remains extremely strained with a trend to further aggravation. Ukrainian embassy in Tripoli keeps on functioning and listing citizens to be evacuated. Thus, evacuation of our nationals from Libya enters the active phase in accordance with the presidential instructions".
