Primary target of two recently launched Iranian small-size submarines will be American aircraft carriers, said Iranian Navy Deputy Commander ADM Farhad Amiri on Feb 11.

According to the admiral, Iran has in disposal the world's best diesel submarines, and Iran's opponents (first of all, the US) are impressed by fantastic underwater capabilities of Ghadir-class subs.

Iranian Navy Commander ADM Habibollah Sayari told ISNA that all components of submarines including hull, navigational systems, radars, and armament had been made in Iran.

According to Sayari, submarines have improved Iran's underwater defense capabilities, reports MIGnews.com.
