Demonstrative briefing with top-ranking officers of Ukrainian armed forces was held on June 1 at facilities of Ukrainian Navy's command posts and air tactical group "Crimea".

Among attendants were Mikhail Maliarchuk, Deputy Minister of Defense; Gen. Col. Vladimir Mozharovsky, Deputy Chief of the General Staff; Vice Admiral Viktor Maksimov, Navy Commander-in-Chief; Gen. Col. Ivan Rusnak, Air Force Commander-in-Chief; Gen. Col. Gennady Vorobiov, Army Commander-in-Chief, and other high-ranking officers.

According to Gen. Col. Vladimir Mozharovsky, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, the briefing objective is to familiarize with new command and control system established in Ukrainian Navy three years ago.

In particular, all participants had an opportunity to evaluate capabilities and operational process of hardened command post of Ukrainian Navy; coastal defense field command post; shipborne command post of Maritime Operations Center (command ship Donbas); and command post of air tactical group "Crimea".

Capabilities of new automated control systems were also demonstrated during the briefing.

Representatives of Ukrainian industry introduced new developments in automation of troops control process.

"Demonstrative briefing of such level requires active participation of highest naval officers and personally Commander-in-Chief", said Vladimir Mozharovsky. "Today we witness state improvement of naval command posts and automated control system. This is just the scheme which Navy needs to perform given tasks properly".

It is planned to conduct a meeting of Signal Force commanding officers on June 2 at the same facilities.
