Bistry is a Project 956 Destroyer.

REGISTRATION

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The destroyer was laid down in 1985 at Zhdanov Shipyard No 190 (now called Severnaya Verf Shipyard) in Leningrad; launched in 1987; commissioned in 1989.

MILESTONES

On July 10, 2003 the ship's stoker got electric shock while installing portable lights and died at the scene.
