CONSTRUCTION, NAME

The ship was laid down on May 11, 1987 at Zelenodolsk shipyard; launched on July 30, 1988; commissioned on November 9, 1988. It had a name of Brestsky Komsomolets since July 22, 1988 till February 15, 1992.
