MPK-220 Vladimirets is a Project 11451 Small ASW Ship (SAS).
REGISTRATION
Black Sea FleetCONSTRUCTION, NAME
The ship was laid down on May 12, 1984 at More Production Association (Feodosiya, Crimea); launched on August 20, 1990; commissioned on March 14, 1991 under the name of MPK-220. The ship obtained the name of Vladimirets on April 3, 1998.MILESTONES
In 1999 being a part of ASW attack group, the ship won Navy Commander's Prize for ASW training.On November 11, 2007 staying at moorage wall of Sevastopol Shipyard 13, the ship took several holes in portside when the yard's floating crane fell down on her during gale. Eight fire vessels, salvage tugs and diving ships were involved in the rescue operation.
In August 2008 the works on the ship's main propulsion units were completed. Interrepair service term had been prolonged.
