RT-343 (hull number 229) is a project 12255 Lazurit base minesweeper designed to counter the threat posed by naval mines.

CONSTRUCTION, NAME

RT-343 (serial number 301) was laid down in September 1989 at Sredne-Nevsky shipyard. Launched April 29, 1990. Commissioned on December 22, 1990. Before 1992 named as BT-343. Out of commission since 2012.
