Locals of Stockholm outskirts noticed and photographed a 100-meter long unidentified object resembling a submarine and sailing at the speed of 5-8 knots in Baggensfjarden Bay which is 20 km inshore from the high sea.

Photographs of the object made on April 13 were published early in May by Swedish newspaper Aft?nbladet, writes Segodnya.

According to Swedish defense ministry, national navy did not conduct any exercises near Stockholm Archipelago when the would-be foreign submarine was photographed.

Swedish military officials also said that an inquiry into the incident has been started; results will be reported in two weeks.
