According to sources of Russian General Staff, the U.S. and Israel consider possibility of bomb strike against Iran.

That was said by General of the Army Nikolai Makarov, Chief of General Staff at today's press conference at RIA Novosti office.

"This [bombing] is an extreme measure which is considered both by the U.S. and Israel", said Makarov.

The U.S. along with a number of Western countries suspects Iran in nuclear arms development under color of peaceful nuclear engineering.

UN Security Council has adopted several resolutions and applied sanctions against Iran, demanding abandonment of uranium enrichment.

IAEA has repeatedly expressed an opinion that Iran was possibly engaged in nuclear arms development.

Tehran denies all charges persisting in the fact that its nuclear program is exclusively aimed at satisfaction of the country's wants in electric power.

The US president Barak Obama declared on Apr 8 that the sanctions against Iran would be tightened.
