NF Surface Ships Prepare for Deployment
18.11.2011
Having passed full combat training course in bases, the crews will conduct joint missile and gun firings, damage control drills, and improve command skills.
Personnel of aircraft carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov will carry out joint drills with NF ship-based fighter wing; it is planned to practice control of deck-based aviation from the carrier's board. In the summer training period, pilots have effectively completed training flights in the Barents Sea and carried out 114 deck landings by Su-33 and Su-25UTG fighters.
In Dec 2011 Admiral Kuznetsov and Admiral Chabanenko will take the sea to deploy in distant zones of World Ocean. For many servicemen, coming long-range cruise will be the first in naval career.
