Ukrainian and Norwegian cadets strengthen relations between the navies 22.09.2010

Delegation of Norwegian naval cadets headed by Hans Jorgen Viborg, professor of Norwegian Royal Naval Academy visited Nakhimov Naval Academy (Sevastopol) on Sept 21.

The delegates are accompanied by LCol Hakon Magnus Leken, Norwegian military attaché in Ukraine.

The visit is aimed at strengthening relations between the two navies via personal contacts between future officers and comparative analysis of their training systems in the context of reforms in Ukraine's military education.

During their stay in Ukraine, Norwegian cadets will visit simulators of ship's electromechanic department and pilot bridge, training classes on damage control and navigation, and language laboratory.

After official events, the guests will be provided with cultural program and get acquainted with historical sites of Sevastopol.

Visit of Norwegian delegation to Sevastopol is held in accordance with International Co-operation Event List and will be completed on Sept 24.
