CNO Gary Roughead to visit Northern Fleet

US Navy's delegation headed by Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Gary Roughead will pay a friendly visit to Northern Fleet (NF) main base Severomorsk on Apr 15, reports NF Information Support Group.
The delegation will have a quite eventful program including visits to the Memorial to Submariners Lost in Peacetime (Murmansk) and the Memorial to Soviet Arctic's Defenders.
In addition, G. Roughead will discuss perspectives of Russian-American naval cooperation at the meeting with NF Commander (temporary) Rear Admiral Andrei Volozhinsky.
After the meeting Admiral G. Roughead is about to visit nuclear-powered missile cruiser Petr Veliky and nuclear submarine Nizhny Novgorod.
In Apr 16 the delegation will arrive in St. Petersburg to visit the Kuznetsov Naval Academy, the Hermitage State Museum, the Russian Museum, the St. Isaac Cathedral, and the St. Peter and St. Paul Fortress.
