Ukrainian Navy Commander Visited Croatia 13.10.2011

Official visit of Ukrainian Navy's delegation headed by its commander Admiral Viktor Maksimov to Split, Croatia has been finished.

Meeting with Croatian counterparts, Ukrainian naval servicemen discussed strengthening of friendly relations, mutual interaction, prospective lines of further cooperation including joint activities in the Black and the Mediterranean seas, and visit historical sites of Split.

It is noteworthy that Croatian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ante Urlic paid similar visit to Sevastopol last year. Ukrainian command ship Slavutich once called at a Croatian port with friendly visit. Besides, Croatian naval officers earlier took part in US-Ukrainian exercise Sea Breeze.

The visit of Ukrainian Navy's delegation was held on invitation of Croatian Navy Commander in accordance with Ukrainian defense ministry's international cooperation event list. The visit finished on Oct 13.
